Peregrine Rose Trio at Pacific University

 On Tuesday, February 18th gather with Peregrine Rose Trio for a gorgeous offering of wind trios written only within the last 40 years! Featuring flute, clarinet, and bassoon, you'll hear music depicting Paris in the 1980s, late summer hymns in four movements, and a brand new piece composed for this trio about traveling to Scotland. Other works include scenes of weather, an exciting work from Slovenia, and a playful, sugary romp of cartoony goodness. Come enjoy a beautiful concert of works you've almost certainly never heard before played by Haynes Flutes artist Rose Johnson, Backun Clarinet artist Lori Shepherd, and Moosmann bassoonist Cassandra Bendickson.

About Peregrine Rose Trio

Peregrine Rose Trio (flute, bassoon, and clarinet) focuses on performing classical works written by living composers. The ensemble seeks out engaging and relatable repertoire that is an enjoyable experience for both audience and performer.  Peregrine Rose Trio has performed at the International Double Reed Convention, the National Flute Association Convention, the International Horn Society Conference, NAMM and the Music By Women Festival. The trio performs and teaches masterclasses across the United States.


Rose V. Johnson, flutist, received her BA-Music from Northern Arizona University, her MMus degree from the University of Washington, and her MA degree from Azusa Pacific University. Rose is a member of the Ladies’ Quintessential Quintet, Compass Winds, and Peregrine Rose Trio. Rose is sponsored by W.S. Haynes Flute Company. (https://rvjstudio.com)
