In addition to maintaining a full performance schedule regionally and nationally, her teaching studio garners respect throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her expertise is also in demand as a clinician in higher education, youth ensembles, and school outreach programs.
As a musician-advocate, Ms. Johnson is passionate about projects that support music education and underrepresented musicians. She seeks out ways to engage composers and collaborators from marginalized groups, with the hope of using her platform to provide opportunity for others.
Ms. Johnson began formal flute training at the age of 14, with Erich Graf of the Utah Symphony. She continued her studies under the mentorship of Philip Swanson, receiving her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Northern Arizona University. She received a Master of Music in Flute Performance from University of Washington with Felix Skowronek. Ms. Johnson is a Performance Artist for William S. Haynes Flute Company.
Megan Hutchison is a performing flutist and flute teacher in the Seattle area. Megan maintains a private flute studio in Issaquah and teaches at Music Works Northwest. She also coaches weekly flute classes at the Seattle Public Schools district.

Megan is a recent graduate of the University of Washington, where she completed her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance, studying with Donna Shin. During her time there, she was the teaching assistant for the University of Washington’s Modern Music Ensemble, select music education classes, and flute performance classes. She performed as principal flutist in the University of Washington’s Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. She also won their 2022 concerto competition and performed Carl Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the UW Symphony Orchestra. Megan received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of North Texas where she studied with Terri Sundberg and James Scott. In her free time, Megan enjoys baking and spending time with her cats.

Anna taught for IU’s Fairview Violin Program and as an elementary string instructor in the Monroe County Community School Corporation. Anna is a violinist in multiple regional orchestras and has served as Assistant Principal Second Violin of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and Assistant Concertmaster of the Ensign Symphony and Chorus. Anna frequently performs in collaborative ensemble consonari with her husband, Kaden Larson.
Anna has participated in multiple international music festivals, including as an Instrumental Fellow for the 2021 Atlantic Music Festival, the Philadelphia International Music Festival, where she received Honorable Mention in the 2017 Concerto Competition, the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy, and ARIA International Summer Academy.
Anna is actively involved in supporting and performing contemporary music and enjoys finding lesser-known works from any era, especially those by under-represented composers.

Anne Marlantes, MA LMHC, spent 30 years in corporate marketing before changing careers to become a mental health counselor. Her marketing career included a wide range of companies such as Apple Computer, Chateau Ste Michelle and Sierra On-Line. She held senior marketing management positions at Sierra as well as at Speakeasy (a local DSL company) and B Square (another local high tech company). After receiving her MA in 2007, Anne left high tech and opened a private counseling practice where she focused on helping people with eating disorders. Now retired, Anne spends her time as a passionate amateur flutist and “first reader” of her writer husband’s manuscripts. She and her husband divide their time between Woodinville and Cannon Beach, Oregon.

He holds the English Horn position in the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, and he perf

He holds the English Horn position in the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, and he performs regularly with Symphony Tacoma, North Corner Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Tacoma City Ballet Orchestra, and others. Mr. Esterling was recently the winner of the UW Symphony Concerto Competition and the Sewanee Music Festival Concerto Competition. He has also performed as a soloist with the Eastside Symphony Orchestra, Whidbey Island Consort Players, and Carillon Chamber Orchestra, performing works by Marcello and Mozart. As an active freelancer, Mr. Esterling has performed on multiple occasions with Evanescence and Lindsay Stirling, played on the soundtrack for the video game Destiny 2, and recorded music for a Dreamworks short.

Erika plays with Pacifica Chamber Orchestra and musicals throughout the region. For the past nine years she studied with master teacher Rajan Krishnaswami and is an apprentice teacher, occasionally covering the studio.

She observes his teaching for several hours week to improve her own. She trained at the Japan-Seattle Suzuki Institute for Books 1, 2, 3 and 6. Erika began Suzuki cello lessons at 5, at 12 she began studying with renowned teacher Richard Aaron, currently faculty of Juilliard. With pre-professional training in high school, she went to Indiana University String Academy for three summers where she discovered fine chamber music performance under Rostislav Dubinsky. She was in Seattle Youth and Junior Symphonies. After high school Erika took private lessons and chamber music at Oberlin Conservatory while attending the college. She currently gives regular solo recitals of the the major cello repertoire.

With students winning national competitions and every year earning positions in All-State and regional honor bands, Philip Dungey bases his teaching on solid music foundations and then seeks out opportunities for his students. His bands have won the award for Best Overall Middle School and Junior High Band at the Silverwood Music in the Parks Festival, performed in Disneyland six times, and won the Salmon Days Marching Band competition. In 2014, ensembles he coached placed second in two categories at the WIAA WMEA State Solo & Ensemble Competition, and his private students won the state solo competition in their category in 2014 and 2015.
Mr. Dungey has a Master's Degree from The University of Akron (OH) in Trumpet Performance and Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Wheaton College (IL). He has performed professionally in the trumpet section of the Auburn Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and serves as the Principal Trumpet of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Dungey enjoys living in Issaquah with his musical family. Son Clayton is a tuba and computer science major at Biola in Los Angeles, daughter Natalie plays trumpet and studies at UCLA, and youngest, Faith, plays French Horn in Evergreen Philharmonic
