Pianist Xin Chang is originally from China. She has performed and taught throughout North America and Asia. As an active collaborative pianist, chamber musician and piano teacher, Dr. Chang was a fulltime

collaborative pianist at the University of Wyoming and accompanist of the Seattle Bach Choir. She has also been on faculty at the Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy, Texas Low Brass Academy, International Violin Festival and Competition in Singapore and Key to Change Solo String Festival in Seattle. Dr. Chang attended prestigious summer festivals including Interlochen Center for the Arts, SongFest, Brevard Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival and School, Banff Centre and the Castleman Quartet Program. Dr. Chang has performed with violinist Charles Castleman, baritone David Small, tubaist Charles Villarrubia, saxophonist Toshikazu Nagase and recorded with double bass player DaXun Zhang. As a soloist, Dr. Chang won 2nd prize in the Colorado International Piano Competition at Northern Colorado University. She has also performed with the Jiangsu Orchestra of China. Dr. Xin Chang maintains a private piano studio in Seattle and enjoys teaching piano to all levels

of students. She is a certified RCM piano teacher, many of her students had passed RCM/ABRSM exams and won International Piano Competitions. Dr. Chang completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She also received a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, as well as a

Bachelor of Music degree from Renmin University of China. Her principal teachers were Colette Valentine, Anne Epperson, Jean Barr and Fang Zhang.

Rose V. Johnson is a freelance solo and chamber ensemble musician. Rose received a BMus degree in flute performance from Northern Arizona Univ., a MMus degree in flute performance from the Univ. of Washington, and a MA degree in Music Industry from Azusa Pacific Univ. A passionate chamber ensemble musician, Rose has performed with The Ladies’ Quintessential Quintet, Compass Winds, and Peregrine Rose Trio. Her chamber music performances have taken her across the United States and to conferences including the Women Composers International Conference, National Flute Association, International Double Reed Society, International Horn Society, and NAMM. Rose maintains a strong private flute studio, works with youth chamber ensembles and has coached with the Seattle Youth Symphony's Summer Music program, Music Northwest Youth Chamber Summer program, the Evergreen Philharmonic and the Eastside Youth Concert Band. She acts as Executive Director of Collaborative Musicians’ Project and has served on the boards of the National Flute Association’s Performance Health Committee, the Seattle Flute Society, and she is an advocate for musicians and music education, providing presentations on the classical music industry. Megan Hutchison

Megan Hutchison is a performing flutist and flute teacher in the Seattle area. Megan maintains a private flute studio in Issaquah and teaches at Music Works Northwest. She also coaches weekly flute classes at the Seattle Public Schools district.

Megan Hutchison is a performing flutist and flute teacher in the Seattle area. Megan maintains a private flute studio in Issaquah and teaches at Music Works Northwest. She also coaches weekly flute classes at the Seattle Public Schools district. 

Megan is a recent graduate of the University of Washington, where she completed her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance, studying with Donna Shin. During her time there, she was the teaching assistant for the University of Washington’s Modern Music Ensemble, select music education classes, and flute performance classes. She performed as principal flutist in the University of Washington’s Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. She also won their 2022 concerto competition and performed Carl Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the UW Symphony Orchestra. Megan received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of North Texas where she studied with Terri Sundberg and James Scott. In her free time, Megan enjoys baking and spending time with her cats.

With students winning national competitions and every year earning positions in All-State and regional honor bands, Philip Dungey bases his teaching on solid music foundations and then seeks out opportunities for his students.  His bands have won the award for Best Overall Middle School and Junior High Band at the Silverwood Music in the

 

With students winning national competitions and every year earning positions in All-State and regional honor bands, Philip Dungey bases his teaching on solid music foundations and then seeks out opportunities for his students.  His bands have won the award for Best Overall Middle School and Junior High Band at the Silverwood Music in the Parks Festival, performed in Disneyland six times, and won the Salmon Days Marching Band competition.  In 2014, ensembles he coached placed second in two categories at the WIAA WMEA State Solo & Ensemble Competition, and his private students won the state solo competition in their category in 2014 and 2015.

Mr. Dungey has a Master's Degree from The University of Akron (OH) in Trumpet Performance and Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Wheaton College (IL).  He has performed professionally in the trumpet section of the Auburn Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and serves as the Principal Trumpet of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.   Most recently, Mr. Dungey performed as acting principal French Horn with the Seattle Philharmonic, principal horn in the Greenwood Concert Band and rotating French Horn section member with the Washington Wind Symphony. 

Mr. Dungey enjoys living in Issaquah with his musical family.  His son Clayton recently won the principal tuba position with the Spokane Symphony. He holds a Master’s Degree in Tuba Performance at the University of Delaware and did his undergraduate studies in tuba and computer science at BIOLA in Los Angeles. Natalie performs occasionally as a substitute musician in the trumpet section of the Seattle Symphony, has degrees from UCLA in Psychology and Trumpet Performance, and is pursuing a PhD in Psychology. In high school she performed as trumpet soloist with Josh Groban. Youngest daughter, Faith, plays French Horn at Azusa Pacific University and when home joins her dad in the Washington Wind Symphony horn section.

Erika plays with Pacifica Chamber Orchestra and musicals throughout the region. For the past nine years she studied with master teacher Rajan Krishnaswami and is an apprentice teacher, occasionally covering the studi

 

 Erika Fiebig is a Seattle native. She coaches the Bellevue Youth Symphony Premiere and Sinfonia cellos and local schools. Erika plays with Pacifica Chamber Orchestra and musicals throughout the region. For the past nine years she studied with master teacher Rajan Krishnaswami and is an apprentice teacher, occasionally covering the studio. She observes his teaching for several hours week to improve her own. She trained at the Japan-Seattle Suzuki Institute for Books 1, 2, 3 and 6. Erika began Suzuki cello lessons at 5, at 12 she began studying with renowned teacher Richard Aaron, currently faculty of Juilliard. With pre-professional training in high school, she went to Indiana University String Academy for three summers where she discovered fine chamber music performance under Rostislav Dubinsky. She was in Seattle Youth and Junior Symphonies. After high school Erika took private lessons and chamber music at Oberlin Conservatory while attending the college. She currently gives regular solo recitals of the the major cello repertoire
