The Ladies’ Reeding Society embodies what it means to be a female musician in the modern landscape of classical music. We perform in several smaller ensembles under the umbrella of LRS. Together we represent college professors, orchestral musicians, freelancers, private instructors, collaborative chamber artists, and full-time working musicians. The spirit of artistic collaboration and support fuels the growth of LRS. We come together from our homes in Utah, Idaho,Texas, Arizona, and Washington for concerts, residencies, and recordings.
What started out as a reed trio and a woodwind quintet in three states now includes dancers, composers, artists, and musicians in no less than eight states, and the reach continues to spread.
Our musicians are sponsored by Moosmann Bassoons, Backun Clarinets, Haynes Flutes and Eastman Music (horn).
Chamber music distills the art of music making to three core concepts: sonority, time, and expression. By masterfully combining the voices of bassoon, oboe, and clarinet, the music of Trio de Bois epitomizes the act of exploration of each these elements.
Peregrine Rose Trio seeks out engaging and relatable repertoire that is an enjoyable experience for both audience and performer.
